2.2 - Blue, White, Black
Explained by Mingy.
If you haven't figured this out, this comic is occurring in Avatar form. The characters you see are Bryan, and Big Andy. I guess I should tell you who Big Andy is. First of all, Big Andy is NOT me. Since sometimes I am also called Andy, I can see where you may get confused. Big Andy is one of the guys that we all play Magic with, at our local comic shop, Heroes. Big Andy is not only known for being a good technical player, but he's also a good psychological player, and often plays mind games with his opponents. This is a skill that becomes especially useful in larger multiplayer games, which involve a lot of politics between players. He is also rather intimidating to the little kiddies that play at our store because he's a full grown adult, and much bigger than all of them. He's really a nice guy though, and a great person to play against to test your skill.

The only other thing that I can really explain is that when Bryan defeats Big Andy at the end of the strip, he is using the spell Death Grasp, which is a white and black spell that allows you to pay any amount of extra mana in addition to the casting cost to deal that many points of damage to any target. Then, you gain that much life.

Make sense now? Go back to this comic.
